About this part
What it is and why it is made that way
Clamp bodies and small valve fittings are machined from solid rather than assembled, so the flow path and the seat are machined directly into the part. That removes the leak path that a stacked assembly creates and keeps the port geometry true to the drawing. Housings are fixtured so the bore and the port stay in position relative to each other.
