What this process is

CNC Machining Parts, in plain terms

CNC machining is the process you use when the tolerance is the specification. We cut the part from solid stock — turned on lathes, milled on machining centres — so the geometry is machined rather than approximated. Every bore, face and thread is measured, and every batch leaves with an inspection report. This is where we send drawings that call for a real accuracy class.

When this is the right answer

  • Parts with tight bores, parallel faces or controlled thread fits
  • One-off prototypes through to repeat production batches
  • Any part where the material and the tolerance both matter
The trade-off. Machining is the most expensive way to make a part per unit — the cost is in the machine time. Below roughly 100 pieces a casting or a stamping often wins on price; above it, the machined version usually costs less than the tooling amortised over the volume.
What we make

6 part families

Each family covers a shape and the way it is normally made. Open one for the materials, the processes and the typical applications behind it.

  • Carbon steel 45# / Q235
  • Stainless 304 / 316L
  • Copper C360 / brass HPb59-1
  • Engineering plastics (POM, nylon, PTFE)

Processes on this line

  • 3-axis CNC turning
  • 3-axis CNC milling
  • 4-axis CNC milling

What to send for a quote

  • A drawing — 2D or 3D, STEP or IGES preferred
  • Material and surface finish, or the standard you work to
  • Quantity per release and the annual forecast
  • Tolerance class, and which features are critical

If you only have some of these, send what you have. We will ask for the rest.

Quote your CNC Machining part

Send a drawing and we will quote it against the material, the tolerance and the quantity. One business day for a part we can quote straight away.

Send a drawing and we will quote it against your material, tolerance and quantity. A description of what the part has to do is enough to start.

We reply within one business day. Your details are used to answer this enquiry and nothing else.
