What it is and why it is made that way
Stainless investment castings suit the applications where corrosion decides the material — chemical dosing, food processing, pharmaceutical equipment. The internal passage is smooth because the mould surface is smooth, and the threads and sealing faces are machined after casting so the joint is repeatable.
