Cast Pump & Gearbox Housings
Sand-cast pump and gearbox housings in grey iron and alloy steel, machined on the critical faces to the drawing.
Cast impellers and fan housings in cast iron and aluminium, balanced and machined to the specified hub and bore.
| Casting weight | 1 – 300 kg per part |
|---|---|
| Tolerance | ±1.5 mm as-cast; ±0.10 mm after machining |
| Casting standard | JB/T 7946 general casting tolerance |

An impeller has to be balanced, and a casting is rarely symmetrical enough to balance as-cast — so it is machined, balanced and then finished. The housing is cast with the volute or scroll formed, and the bore, hub and mounting face are machined so the assembly runs true.
The ranges below are what this shop typically holds. Anything tighter than the baseline is possible — send the drawing and we will confirm it against your specific tolerances rather than quote from a table.

If this is not quite your part, these are made on the same equipment with the same inspection.
